During my time as a costume assistant I have utilized the following skills to break down costumes:

 

• Making artificial mud pastes

• Using acrylic paint to create permanent dirt or dust effects 

• Shading and creating depth

• Blood stains 

• Using fullers earth 

• Using powdered pigments

• Tea dyeing and tapping down bright whites

• Bleaching 

• Sanding

• Distressing and recreating wear and tear 

• Continuity
