Having the chance to experiment with dyeing processes has equipped me with such skills as:

• Using powdered dyes to create different depths of colour 

• Creating different effects by varying the length of time and amount of pigment used

• Creating sample packs and recreating the effect on the finished item

• Staining effects using tea and coffee dyes

• Batch dyeing in large quantities 

• Painting with dyes and creating textured effects with brushes and sponges

• Fixing dyed fabrics to avoid colour bleeding
